“I will do away with all insurance companies if I am elected since healthcare is a right. Government should provide it for everyone equally no matter how much money they earn.”

– Bernie Sanders

For the past few decades, people have chastised dozens of Republican presidential candidates for shooting themselves in both feet in front of national TV audiences during notoriously bad primary debates. By the end of the last conflict, those left standing have made such fools out of themselves, their own party is embarrassed. The left meanwhile had a “chosen one” making political headlines, ready to assume command the day the departing president boarded Air force One, off into political history. Since the media sold their candidate for them, the left won every debate before it began.

Last election, the left suffered a meltdown when progressives convinced themselves the fairytales the media had been writing for them were real. While the GOP continued to shoot themselves in both feet trying to take down their own winner, America was listening to him. On Election Day 2016, conservatives, independents and fence sitters pulled the “right switch.” As the petrified leftists and befuddled media waited for Rip Van Winkle to pinch them and wake them up from this bad dream, the man who won the hearts of Americans from sea to shining sea waltzed into Washington, D.C.

A shocked left has been trying to reverse the sands of time and undo what voters did for America since then. Despite their daily fits and attacks, President Donald Trump did everything he had promised to do for an America that believed in him; and more. Now the left is caught between a rock and a hard place, since even their media mercenaries haven’t been able to derail the Donald Trump express!

“Just think, how many people are shocked by honesty, and how few by deceit.”

– Noel Coward

With so much on the line this election, the socialist left is now the one shooting themselves in both feet each primary debate. With the help of the liberal media, they’re desperately trying to prove who will be the next socialist who carries the torch that burns down Trump’s thriving capitalist empire. At each debate, every new Leninist clone reveals a larger wish list of gifts for their troops than Santa Claus could fill if he unionized his elves and paid them double overtime until Christmas Day 2050.

Each leftist debate has been a worse circus act than the last. Ratings show voters prefer reruns of “Leave it to Beaver” over watching their remake of “Let’s Make a Deal.” Their first debate last year was viewed by 18 million. By the last one, that number had fallen to a record-low of 6.2 million. Obviously their flock has lost interest in their fables and is voting with their remote controls.

“It’s hard to BS anyone today when they can cut you off with a click of a remote.”

– David Kelley

The socialist left can’t fathom why each debate and resulting primary delivers a new winner, while another one is declared DOA. Depending on the state’s color and ethnic makeup, their favorite son wins the brass ring; while the rest lick their wounds. Despite their unrelenting agitprop, the left has been unable to establish a socialist savior in these small early-voting states. They are awash none have rallied around one of their comrades despite their promises of lavish gifts paid for by the rich?

So why is there less interest in this leftist quadrennial than in a Saturday afternoon matinee horror movie? Could it be it closely resembles a menu at a skidrow chili house? You can order anything you want as long as it is chili? Or is it these primaries remind their flock of an election in the Soviet Bloc. Voters were given a choice which socialist to vote for. This is like asking a condemned man what type of execution he prefers; hanging, electrocution, lethal injection or Chinese water torture.

“Hell isn't having no choice. It is having to make a choice between horrific things.”

– Don Winslow

The left has been touting the merits of socialism while comrades Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi obsess how to impeach Trump for J-walking on his way to work. Could it be that ardent Democrats are moving a bit center, or are they having trouble deciding which socialist will inflict the least damage on them if they actually are elected? Or is it just maybe, they’re not willing to self-destruct for their own party?

Only Bernie Sanders bills himself a socialist, with all socialist policies. But Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Mike Bloomberg, Julián Castro, Bill de Blasio and Tom Steyer agree with Bernie. Pete Buttigieg, Tulsi Gabbard and others support the deteriorate policies of Obama; while Good ol Joe Biden claims to be a clone of him. Is this why nobody’s impressed?

Einstein told us, “Don’t always believe numbers.” The leftist debates and primaries have shot down a 2018 Gallup poll that showed a majority of Democrats had a positive view of socialism, and 44 percent under age 30 had a positive view of capitalism? After the last Democratic primary debate, the new Harris poll revealed that 68 percent of all liberals surveyed said they’d not vote for a socialist presidential candidate?

“Political debates tend to reveal the dark side of their liberal candidates."

– Ann Coulter

There is no escaping that the left’s move to socialism created a chasm within their party. While every progressive embraces socialism, a small minority like Nancy Pelosi is trying to cling to the middle of the base. In a recent interview with “60 Minutes,” she angrily retorted, “Most Democrats know we wish to remain on center. And everyone knows the Democratic Party is progressive, not socialist.”

The far left and the media spent a decade paving the way for a progressive takeover of our nation. When the time was right, they beat the campaign drum for Barack Obama up to Election Day. They spent eight years making mea culpas for his copious faux pas until he left office. They did the same for Clinton, but they could not camouflage Obama’s damage. While their identity groups stayed home, America elected Trump.

“Every election is determined by the people who show up.”

– Larry Sabato

The left dug their own grave, now they can’t dig out. It you pitch a deficient message to your troops for too long and it flops, you change the composition. If you do a repeat performance you dig that grave deeper. America is recovering from the hangover it got drinking the progressive Kool Aide while imbibing in capitalism’s bountiful benefits again. And they won’t give that up without a fight.

Trump taught us an important lesson: We are a nation for the people, not for the politicians. He is the first president since George Washington elected by voters, not a political party. He acts, and cares like any American patriot; exactly what our founders had envisioned when they created our nation.

“I will live and fight for you, with every breath I take everyday that I am in office.”

– Donald Trump

It’s too early to tell if people have learned progressive is just another name for socialism. They both promise equality, wealth, free healthcare, education, and incomes, guaranteed by the government. Since the left spent the last four years preaching the merits of socialism while trying to take down a successful capitalist president instead of governing, maybe that could explain why they can’t find a new socialist rising star to nominate for the next election? Or maybe there isn’t one; and their gaggle is thinking, Caveat emptor:

“There is little choice in a barrel of rotten apples.”
