“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never break me.”
– John Ollivier, 1844
John Gotti was one of the most powerful crime bosses in our history. During his era he was widely known for his outspoken personality and flamboyant lifestyle. Everyone knew he was a mobster but due to his ostentatious presence and amenable character, to many Americans he was a New York celebrity. While other syndicate bosses avoided the media, cameramen who caught up with the gregarious Gotti stumbled over each other to get an interview with this colorful New Yorker. But on the darker side of his life, after three high-profile trials in the 1980s that resulted in acquittal, he was nicknamed “Teflon Don.” No matter what they accused Gotti of, he continually “slipped” away.
When a successful New York celebrity businessman ran for president, the left portrayed him as the next Gotti. They had already crowned their new queen and planned her coronation. Operatives looked into every business in his family since 1923, when his grandfather founded E. Trump & Son, to dig up dirt on him. They mimicked his private life as a soap opera and invented scandals to feed to the liberal media to portray him as a criminal. Even members of his party fired shots at him. One BBC reporter wrote: “Trump’s appeal was so strong, every mud-ball the Democrats hurled at him bounced off him like 'Teflon'. Now 'Teflon Don' is president, they can’t accept the fact they lost.”
The day Donald Trump won the election, the left turned into a vicious attack machine. Operatives and liberal media set out to destroy him by spreading hatred and disdain around America. Nothing has been sacred as they attacked his family, friends, past business ventures, even his morals and his literacy. They’ve positioned him as a racist bigot. Media has half-quoted and misquoted every word he said. They’ve done everything to discredit him as unfit for office. Yet this hysteria and frenzy of harassment has failed to faze him. They just bounce off Donald Trump like he is made of Teflon.
From the moment Trump turned conventual wisdom about how to win the presidency on its head and defeated the leftist’s majesty Hillary Clinton, Democrats have grappled with how to get rid of Trump. Their eagerness to take Trump down almost backfired. Their first attempt of “Russia-gate,” accusing Trump of “colluding” with Russia during the 2016 elections, almost led to the investigation of Hillary Clinton playing nice with Russia and more. When the Mueller probe exonerated him, the left’s hate for Trump went into overdrive.
"I urge everyone to confront Trump’s people anytime they see them in public. Yell and harass them. We want them out of Washington!”
– Maxine Waters
To add insult to injury for the progressive left, Trump’s policies put the economy on steroids. It has been rolling along smoothly like the Santa Fe Flyer between El Paso and Phoenix. The left knew they had to keep the motor running full speed on the “hate machine” until the midterm elections, to keep voters from admiring Trump’s record unemployment numbers and economic success. They set a plan in place to take over the majority in the House and had their lead operative Adam Schiff positioned in the White House. Schiff was in charge of “operation de-throne Trump” at any cost.
Establishment leftist leaders hoped Donald Trump would self destruct to appease their progressive socialist House members before they embarrassed the party any more. They had been berating his ability to govern, chastising his character, and reading the liberal media’s comments about his lack of leadership qualities so long, they actually believed it. They were preparing for their own presidential primaries and figured their candidates would set the tone for a total progressive hijack of the government. With two dozen far left comrades stumping and whistle-stopping the New Leftist socialist message from “sea to shining sea,” there is no way Trump could ever get re-elected. They were confident by the 2020 election they would finally realize their dream of Democratic socialism.
But just when the left had tamed their comrades, data from focus groups and swing state polls had made Democrats nervous about the next election. It suggests they are naïve thinking Trump’s approval numbers are legitimate and an easy victory is in the bag. Frustrated that Trump did the things they couldn’t do to improve American lives, U.S. Rep. Al Green of Texas recently told a reporter: “Democrats must impeach Trump rather than try to beat him next election; if we don’t he might get re-elected.”
The credibility of the Democratic Party is at stake. They campaigned to pay reparations to Blacks, legalize infanticide, give free medical care to illegal immigrants, to confiscate gun, enact Medicare for All, to impose a wealth tax, abolish student debt, provide free college, and give amnesty to all illegal immigrants. Why have they spent two years beating up Trump instead of legislating socialism: Because none of these issues poll above 40 percent with voters. And no leftist candidate could defeat Trump as the emissary of such a syllabus.
“Once people get use to it they will find out democratic socialism is not that bad.”
– Bernie Sanders
Adam Schiff, the Democratic lynchman, and Al Green, the bitterly forsaken Texas Democrat, have been chosen as key operatives to lead this last attempt to destroy Trump. The left is proving Trump’s record is too formidable and their own party’s agenda is too socialist for anyone but the far left to vote for them. Therefore impeachment is the only mechanism in their arsenal to abort another four years of Trump. Their greatest nightmare is, after another four years of “Trumpenomics”, only the most hardcore socialists will accept a return to the days of Obama’s failed Democratic socialism.
For years, the left has lived a pathological fantasy they can destroy anyone who stands in their way of “big government.” Since Carter failed to pick up where President Lyndon Johnson left off, and President Ronald Reagan was elected to clean up his mess, they can’t accept that America always returns to the free market for real solutions. When the left failed to heist a win in Florida from Bush in 2000, their message was clear: “If we don’t win, we’ll make life miserable for the person who does.” But this didn’t work with Trump. Although the polls had Clinton clinching the swing states, many of their own voters secretly voted Trump.
“If you get good ratings, they'll cover you even if you have nothing to say.”
– Donald Trump
Bob Dylan told us, “There is no success in failure and failure is no success at all.” The far left and the liberal media have debased Trump’s honesty, credibility and ability to govern. They have slung so much mud at the While House walls it is destroyed by the next barrage. These sore losers won’t admit America is fed up with their schoolyard bullying. Voters aren’t as stupid as they think. The success of Trump’s economy and his foreign policies speak for themselves. Their last hope to poison the well, like all past attacks on him, will bounce off Donald Trump like he’s made of Teflon.
During the Cold War, America realized the dangers of socialism. The far left can’t win perching its merits since there are none. The only way they can force this on America is by impeaching Trump; even with no case at all. But come election time, while trashing Trump, Silicon Valley elites will be privately writing checks to fund his campaign. And the voters will continue to surmise the only thing between their 401(k) plans and socialism is Donald Trump. Love him or hate him, Trump is a winner, and never is a loser.
“Losers fix the blame; winners fix what caused the problem.”
– Denis Waitley
