Three Arizona cities rank in the top 10 for the best places to find a job in 2020, according to a new report.

Scottsdale (No. 1), Chandler (No. 6), and Tempe (No. 8) all made the list of top cities to find employment in a report released Friday by the personal finance website WalletHub.

Several other cities in the Grand Canyon State also made the list: Gilbert (No. 20), Glendale (No. 31), Peoria (No. 35), Phoenix (No. 53), Mesa (No. 55) and Tucson (No. 97).

WalletHub compared 182 cities across the country and used 31 metrics to rank each city based on “job market” and “socio-economics.”

Scottsdale ranks No. 2 for its job market and No. 4 for socio-economics, while Chandler ranks No. 8 and No. 13 in those dimensions, respectively. Tempe ranks No. 14 for job market and No. 11 for socio-economics, the report said.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey says the state has added 300,000 jobs since 2015, with the tech sector being among the state’s fastest growing industries.

Arizona also ranks seventh in the nation for population growth over the past decade, gaining 886,429 people, according to new numbers released Monday by the U.S. Census Bureau.

The state was also ranked fourth for its strong economic momentum and recently had its credit rating upgraded by Moody’s Investors Service.
